Experience

Upon receiving a BA degree in Accounting and Finance from Southeastern Louisiana University, Henry began his career in 1969 at Ernst and Young, a well-respected International Certified Public Accounting firm.  During his tenure there, he gained valuable experience and obtained credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

In 1974 Henry struck out on his own and founded Burkhalter & Company.  As managing partner, he built the company into one of the largest and most well respected Certified Public Accounting and Consulting firms in the state of Mississippi.  Serving clients throughout the Southeastern United States, Burkhalter & Company specialized in providing high quality financial and business consulting services to major players in the Healthcare and Utility industries.

In 1992, Henry branched out and founded TruVision Wireless, Inc (later to become Wireless One) and served as Chairman, CEO and President. To develop and sell wireless cable and data services throughout the Southeast, Henry was instrumental in raising more than $900,000,000 in capital, while taking the company public.  In 1999, a highly successful Wireless One was purchased by WorldCom, Inc. Upon the successful sale of Wireless One, Henry embarked on new entrepreneurial ventures: He was a founder and Chairman of the Board of Careview Communications, Inc., a company that has deployed a proprietary data network system throughout numerous healthcare facilities, a network that has been designed to streamline workflow and improve value-added services for patients and patient families.  He left the board in 2010 but remains a stockholder.

Henry owns interests in FirstCharge Energy, LLC and its subsidiary Grove Battery Manufacturing, LLC, along with sister company Horizon Batteries, LLC.  He currently serves as their Chairman of the Board, providing operational leadership based upon his vast and many years of successful entrepreneurial experience. FirstCharge utilizes a patented breakthrough technology in material science from the aerospace industry, C2M (Coextruded Composite Matrix), to manufacture batteries and along with its Battery Management System provides energy storage systems for the Solar and Wind Power Industry.
