• Sell-Side Advisor to a second-generation provider of linen services for the restaurant and hospitality industry.
• Chief Executive Officer of NunoErin, a creative furniture and fixture design firm in Jackson, Miss. Matt also facilitated the company formation and structure, serving in a strategy advisory role since the company began in 2011.
• Resident Manager for Stonehenge Capital’s Mississippi capital fund. Stonehenge is a nationally recognized specialty finance company with more than $1 billion invested in small businesses across the United States.  
• Capital Intermediary for an Atlanta-based medical device holding company, helping facilitate the purchase of two device research companies with patented technology.
• Strategic Advisor for a multi-discipline professional services firm. With more than 60 years of success, the firm engaged BSA to help define strategies for continued growth.

Prior to forming BSA, Matt served as an Executive Vice-President, member of the Executive Committee and functioned as the Chief Operating Officer for SmartSynch, Inc., a smart-grid and energy technology firm that raised over $140 million in equity and debt capital from institutional investors in the U.S., Canada and Germany.  He is a Co-Founder and previously served as Managing Director of the InvestLinc Mid-South Fund, a private investment fund focused on making equity and debt investments in closely held, lower middle market companies throughout the Mid-South.  In this capacity, he focused on the raising of private capital, due diligence efforts of potential portfolio companies, structuring and closing those investments, and post-investment monitoring.

Matt also served as Vice-President, Innovation and Resource Development, at the Mississippi Technology Alliance (now Innovate Mississippi), where he counseled emerging growth companies on capital formation and structure, strategic growth initiatives, and key alliance/partnerships.  He has held several key senior management positions with AmSouth Bancorporation (now Regions Bank) in Nashville, Tenn. and Jackson, Miss.  He served as a global management consultant for Price Waterhouse, LLC (now part of IBM Global Services), where he led global management consulting projects domestically and abroad.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from The University of Mississippi in 1990.
