Prior to joining BSA, Bill served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Oaktree Capital Management, a leading global alternative investment management firm.  Based in Hong Kong, Bill was responsible for Oaktree’s private equity business in Asia, including deal sourcing, assessment, execution, and portfolio management; as well as oversight of regulatory and administrative functions.

From 2002-2005, Bill was a Managing Director at Lombard Investments, a San Francisco-based investment firm, where he served as Portfolio Manager for the Lombard Asia Private Investment Company (LAPIC), a $253 million fund, and managed the Hong Kong office.

In 1998, Bill co-founded and served as Managing Partner for The Kensington Group, a boutique investment banking and advisory firm that specialized in financial restructurings and raising debt and equity capital for companies located in emerging markets. Bill began his career in investment banking with Goldman Sachs, serving in various roles over a 14-year career in Goldman’s New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices.

Bill is a cum laude graduate of Harvard College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1977. In 1984, Bill was graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Business with a Master of Business Administration.
